A hostel building at the Federal Polytechnic, Oko, Anambra State, has reportedly sunk and collapsed.
The multi-storey structure gave way on Sunday night, July 27, 2026, while students were inside.
According to eyewitnesses, a loud noise preceded the collapse, drawing numerous residents and students to the scene.
Rescue operations are currently underway, but the number of casualties has yet to be confirmed.
