The family of the late Nollywood actress Tope Osoba has released details of her funeral arrangements.
Osoba’s passing was announced on Wednesday, nearly two years after she underwent breast cancer surgery in November 2024.
In a statement shared on Instagram on Friday, the family revealed that a candlelight procession and artistes’ night will be held in her honour on the evening of August 11. The event, tentatively set for LTV 8 in Ikeja, Lagos, will celebrate her talent, spirit, and enduring legacy.
Her funeral service is scheduled for August 13 at Saint James’s Anglican Church in Iperu Remo, Ogun State, with interment to follow immediately at Iperu Remo Cemetery. The prescribed dress code for mourners is white.
On Thursday, the family addressed widespread speculation about the circumstances of her death. While some online reports attributed her passing to breast cancer and others suggested emotional or psychological struggles, the family did not disclose a specific cause, urging the public to refrain from spreading unverified information
