Rita Daniels, the mother of Nollywood actress Regina Daniels, has refuted widespread rumors suggesting that her daughter has reconciled with estranged husband Ned Nwoko after a recent visit to his home.
Speculation intensified over the weekend when a video surfaced online showing Regina at Nwoko’s residence, prompting a flurry of reactions on social media.
While some praised Regina, others criticized her, especially among supporters of her during the couple’s highly publicized separation.
In response to the growing online debate, Rita Daniels clarified the situation in a private Instagram exchange with actor Uche Maduagwu.
Screenshots of their conversation, later posted by Maduagwu, reveal Rita explaining that Regina’s visit was solely to see her children.
It is well, my dear. She was invited to see her children. That was what happened. Thanks a lot for your support and concern,” she wrote.
Regina and Nwoko’s marital issues became public in October 2025, when a viral video showed the actress in tears, alleging domestic violence. Nwoko responded by accusing Regina of battling drug and alcohol addiction.
Regina later acknowledged using hard drugs but claimed Nwoko had manipulated her into addiction as a form of control.
Nwoko, who is the senator representing Delta North, insisted that Regina undergo rehabilitation for drug abuse to ensure her well-being and her ability to care for their two children.
In January, Regina Daniels posted video footage from an unnamed hospital, where she was seen undergoing drug tests and later collecting the results.
