Omotunde Ogundimu, a Nollywood actress, has expressed heartfelt gratitude to fellow actress Funke Akindele for providing substantial financial support toward her cancer treatment.
In July, Ogundimu revealed that she was battling cervical cancer and appealed to the public for help with her medical expenses.
On Thursday, she took to Instagram to share her appreciation, recounting how Akindele reached out with an unexpected phone call before donating a significant sum to aid her treatment.
“The first call I got this morning was from Funke. I was really surprised because I wasn’t expecting it,” Ogundimu wrote. “God is so good to me. My wonderful people, please help me thank her. Please also pray for @funkejenifaakindele for blessing me this morning toward my cancer treatment; she gave me a huge amount of money. I wasn’t expecting it at all.”
Ogundimu referred to Akindele as “Iya Ibeji” and offered prayers for her, writing, “Iya Ibeji, God will never forsake you. You will not experience illness, in Jesus’ name. Mercy will always find you. You will continue to grow from strength to strength. Thank you so much for your kindness.
