Nigerian goalkeeper Francis Uzoho has finally joined Spanish Segunda division club, Elche FC on a season long loan deal from Deportivo La Coruna.
The Spanish side confirmed the deal for the Current Super Eagles no 1 on their website.
The club and the R.C. Deportivo de la Coruña have agreed the transfer of goalkeeper Francis Uzoho on a one-year loan deal which comes after he played for Nigeria at the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia,” reads a statement on Elche’s official website on Friday.
The 19-year-old safe hands haveundergo a medical at the club on Monday prior to resuming training with his new team.
Uzoho made two appearances for Deportivo La Coruna in the Spanish La Liga Santander last season and needed the loan in a bid to gain more playing time.
He played 28 games with the club’s B side,Deportivo La Coruna Fabril in the Segunda B and was Nigeria’s first choice at the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia
