The management team of Big Brother Naija Season 11 housemate Abi has firmly denied recent reports alleging her husband was involved in her eviction from the show, calling the claims “false, baseless, and entirely unsubstantiated.
Abi became the latest ‘Show Ya Sef’ housemate to be evicted from the reality show on Sunday. However, some online reports suggested that her husband, Alex, had contacted Big Brother to influence her removal.
In a statement posted to Instagram on Monday, Abi’s management addressed the “rumours circulating online about Abi’s husband’s alleged involvement in her eviction.”
“We are aware of a publication currently circulating online making claims about Abi’s eviction and alleging an incident involving her husband and Big Brother,” the statement read. “Abi’s management strongly condemns the publication and the deliberate spread of false information concerning her and her family.”
The management demanded that those spreading the false claims take down the content and refrain from further distribution, warning that legal action would be taken against anyone who continues to publish or circulate the allegations.
“Appropriate legal action will be considered against anyone who continues to publish or circulate this falsehood,” the statement concluded. “Abi’s journey continues, and so does our commitment to protecting her name and reputation.”
Before her exit, Abi had served as head of house twice, during the fourth and sixth weeks of the show. The 2026 season of Big Brother Naija premiered on July 26 with 24 housemates, and this year’s winner is set to claim a record-breaking grand prize of N160 million—the largest in the show’s history since its 2006 debut.
