Eleven housemates now face possible eviction from the Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) ‘Show Ya Sef’ house this week.
The high-stakes nominations took place Monday evening, after Barry won the Head of House (HoH) games for week eight and earned the coveted title of ultimate veto power holder” for the season.
This double win guarantees Barry immunity for the next two weeks and secures his place as the first confirmed finalist of the season.
After the HoH games, Big Brother gathered all housemates in the lounge for a new twist on the nomination process.
Unlike previous weeks, each remaining housemate except for Bells, designated as this week’s bench warmer was given two minutes to pitch themselves to Barry, explaining why they deserved immunity.
At the end of the pitches, Barry was instructed to save just one housemate, ultimately choosing Aikou. Big Brother then revealed that all remaining housemates, aside from Barry and Aikou, would be up for possible eviction.
This season’s winner will walk away with a record-breaking grand prize of N160 million, the largest in the show’s history since its launch in 2006. Out of the original 24 housemates introduced on July 26, 11 have been evicted, leaving 13 left in the house. The current season is scheduled to conclude on October 4.
