Ayra Starr, the Afrobeats sensation, recently paid a courtesy visit to Seychelles President Patrick Herminie ahead of her headline performance at the country’s 50th Independence Day anniversary celebrations.
The 24-year-old Nigerian singer, born Oyinkansola Sarah Aderibigbe, arrived in Seychelles to participate in the Golden Jubilee festivities and is set to take the stage on Monday at Stad Popiler.
During their meeting, President Herminie warmly welcomed the Mavin Records star and thanked her for joining the nation’s historic milestone, describing the anniversary as a celebration of Seychelles’ progress, culture, unity, and international friendship.
A video from the visit captures Ayra Starr expressing her gratitude for the warm reception she has received since her arrival. She praised the hospitality of the Seychellois people and the island’s stunning scenery, sharing her excitement about performing for local fans.

I am so happy to be in Seychelles… Expect star girl energy, expect to have fun, expect to dance, lose your voice singing loudly, and just have a great time,” she enthused. “If you want to see me sing, come on Monday.
