One very early goal and one very late goal ensured Brazil remain perfect in qualifying for the 2022 World Cup. Neymar and Lucas Paqueta struck as the Selecao won 2-0 away at Paraguay, making it six wins from six to start the South American qualifying campaign.
Just four minutes in, Gabriel Jesus found space down the right to put in a cross that Neymar converted.
With Casemiro and Fred protecting the defensive line, Brazil were comfortable and even had further chances to extend their lead. It wasn’t until the third minute of stoppage time, though, that they took one, with Lucas Paqueta finishing well into the far post with a first-time shot.
That completed Brazil‘s 2-0 win at the Estadio Defensores del Chaco, giving them a comfortable six-point advantage over second-placed Argentina in the table.
