Femi Lazarus Moves to Kenya, Citing Divine Direction

Femi Lazarus, the lead pastor of Light Nation Church in Abuja, has announced his relocation from Nigeria to Kenya, explaining that the move was prompted by a direct instruction from God.

During a recent church service in Kenya, Lazarus shared with the congregation that both he and his wife received a clear directive from God, emphasizing that their mission in Kenya extends beyond preaching.

He described this transition as the start of a new chapter for himself and his family.

I came this morning with my wife, along with some of our pastors. We shared with the reverend the new instruction God gave us, and he was among the first people I had to tell, Lazarus said.

This morning, we didn’t just come to listen to the word; we came recognizing that this is not just a church but a gate. It is a very significant morning for us in this new phase of our assignment.

I told myself, if I’m going to a city and Pastor Poju is there, I must see him before I do anything. But thank God we have you here as someone we not only hear from but also look up to.

Lazarus also told the congregation that they had not come to Kenya to bring something new, but to receive as well.

There is nothing new or special that we have brought, and that is why we have come here to receive also, he added.

Julian Kyula, pastor of The Purpose Centre Church in Kenya, welcomed Lazarus and his wife to the congregation.

Kyula affirmed the divine directive behind their move, stating: I think it’s appropriate to say that God has placed it in the heart of the apostle and his wife, at this season, to be based in Kenya.

He described the move as a prophetic blessing for the nation and likened it to how other global ministry leaders have chosen Kenya as a strategic base.

Kenya, your time of favor has come. When you see global voices and vessels that God is using in this generation deciding to make this place their base—even if it’s just for a week—it is significant, Kyula said.
