José Mourinho gave a press conference prior to Chelsea’s game against Maccabi Tel Aviv on Wednesday.
The Blues manager brushed off criticism of their poor start to the Premier League season.
“I am the current champion of England: why should I be in trouble? I trust the squad. The market is closed so we cannot replace players we lose trust in”, he said.
“It is a new competition, zero points and to start well at home is important”, added Mourinho with regard to Chelsea’s Champions League curtain-raiser.
