Canadian forward Jonathan David is joining Juventus following a complete verbal deal that was finalized last night, award-winning football journalist Fabrizio Romano has stated.
In a tweet earlier today, Wednesday, July 2, 2025, Romano announced that the player’s representatives and the Italian club have already bargained all the details of a long-term contract extension, paving the way for the next chapter in David’s career.
The 25-year-old will soon be on the move for medical checks, with formalities to be finalized shortly afterwards.
David, who scored 19 goals for Lille in Ligue 1 last season, has long been on the target list of the top teams in Europe. His transfer to Turin is regarded as one of Juventus’ major moves to strengthen its attack.
