Wikki Tourists secured promotion to the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) after defeating Yobe Desert Stars 4-0 in their final group game of the Nigeria National League (NNL) playoffs on Thursday.

Abdu Maikaba’s team topped the Conference A table with five points and will face the first-place team from Conference B in the final. The winner will be crowned champions of the 2024/25 NNL season.
Wonderson Yakubu scored a hat-trick for Wikki Tourists, while Hassan also found the net.
In another match, Barau FC earned promotion after a 2-0 victory over Doma United. This marks the first time the Kano-based club will play in Nigeria’s top-flight league.
Usman Maidubji and Shammasu Muhd scored the goals for Barau FC in that game.
