Nollywood Yoruba actor Taiwo Adeshina, widely known by his stage name Elegbeje Ado, has passed away at the age of 66. News of his death was announced on Tuesday morning, following a brief illness.
Adeshina was a celebrated figure in the Yoruba film industry, renowned for his roles in classic movies such as Ageku Abela, Oko Abiku, and Kadara Mi. His stage name, “Elegbeje,” refers to a man deeply fortified with charms, reflecting the memorable characters he often portrayed.
In 2016, Adeshina devoted his life to God, founding the Heroes of Faith Gospel Film Ministry and serving as pastor of a church in Ogun State. He is remembered for his remarkable performances on screen and his unwavering commitment to his faith and community.
