Nollywood actresses Opeyemi Aiyeola and Eniola Badmus have found themselves at the center of a social media clash after Eniola made a controversial comment on one of Opeyemi’s recent posts.
It all started when Opeyemi shared a video showcasing her receding hairline, which quickly drew attention from her followers. Among the comments, one from Eniola Badmus stood out, with the actress writing: “Ope where is your front hair??”
Opeyemi, visibly upset by the remark, responded in a video, accusing Eniola of body-shaming her. She expressed disappointment that the comment came from someone who, in the past, had been the target of similar ridicule online.
In her video, Opeyemi addressed Eniola directly: “This livestream is for Eniola Badmus. I’ve decided not to pay attention to wailing wailers. I’ve decided not to pay attention to ignorant and evil set of people. I understand the way social media is, and I know there are a lot of animals in human form, but I’ve only decided to reply to Eniola Badmus.”
She went on to highlight the hypocrisy of the comment, pointing out that Eniola had never shown support for her content or career before, only choosing to engage when it was something negative to say.
“You used to be an image of ridicule and body shaming on social media. To now think that you, who have experienced the hurt and pain of body shaming, could come under my video,” Opeyemi added.
Opeyemi didn’t hold back, stating: “You have never helped in promoting anything that has to do with me… but for you, Eniola Badmus, to come under my post and drop this comment, I swear to God that you’re an animal.”
The actress wrapped up her video with a sharp critique of Eniola’s perspective on beauty, questioning her focus on physical appearance. “You see yourself in the mirror and what you see is beauty? You think a person’s physical appearance is all beauty is about? You are ignorant… I pity the people who have you around as their friend.”
The incident has sparked mixed reactions online, with fans split over who was in the wrong. As of now, Eniola Badmus has not publicly responded to Opeyemi’s video.
