Playboi Carti isn’t slowing down. On Saturday (March 22), the “EVIL J0RDAN” rapper teased another project—just weeks after the release of his highly anticipated album, MUSIC.
“Let’s get [these] n**gas out [the] way, man. I’m not done,” Carti wrote on his Instagram Stories.
The teaser featured cover art reminiscent of Lil Wayne’s The Dedication, with Carti and Swamp Izzo replacing Wayne and DJ Drama. The post was soundtracked by “LIKE WEEZY”, one of the standout tracks from MUSIC, which already boasts a 31-track lineup.
Another Carti Album Already? Fans Are Here for It
Given the five-year drought since 2020’s Whole Lotta Red, fans are more than ready for another Carti project. Before MUSIC, the rapper had mostly stayed lowkey—aside from a few features on Kanye West and Travis Scott’s albums, plus a handful of leaks. Now that he’s back in full force, another release could cement his dominance in 2025.
Atlanta’s Heavyweights Are Also Applying Pressure
Carti isn’t the only Atlanta rapper dropping back-to-back.
- Lil Baby recently postponed his fifth album, Dominique, to May after releasing WHAM in January.
- Future—who already secured three No. 1 albums in 2024—is also working on another project.
Whether these follow-ups are leftovers or high-quality material that didn’t make the first cut, one thing is clear: the competition is fierce.
‘MUSIC’ Set to Debut at No. 1 on Billboard 200
Playboi Carti’s MUSIC is expected to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, with 302,000 units sold in its opening week, according to Hits Daily Double. This makes it the second-biggest debut of 2025, just behind The Weeknd’s Hurry Up Tomorrow (490,500 units).
If a new Carti project is truly on the way, it could mean another chart-topping moment for the Atlanta star.
