The family of Olayemi Bolaji, known to fans as Toluwanisings, has called for financial support for his widow in the wake of his passing.
The Nigerian gospel singer died on October 14, though the cause remains undisclosed.
On October 21, Toluwanisings’ family posted an appeal on his Instagram page, urging well-wishers to support his wife during this time of mourning.
Accompanied by a flier with bank details for donations, the message emphasized that every contribution, no matter the amount, is an act of kindness and solidarity. “As we mourn the loss of our beloved brother, let us stand with his wife during this difficult season.
Every contribution, no matter how small, is a gesture of love and compassion. May God bless every giving heart and grant the family strength and comfort,” the statement read.
In a separate announcement, the family revealed plans for a night of tributes and a service of songs to celebrate Toluwanisings’ life and ministry.
The event, described as a gathering to honour “our beloved brother, friend, and gospel minister,” is scheduled for October 27 at 3pm at the Hall of Grace, Jogor Centre, Ibadan. Attendees are encouraged to wear white.
Toluwanisings was celebrated for his vibrant praise songs, Yoruba-inspired gospel music, and contemporary worship recordings, with popular tracks such as ‘A Very Big God’, ‘Eleda’, and ‘I’m Not Alone’.
Babadunni Gbolabo, Toluwanisings’ personal assistant, recalled the singer’s final moments, sharing that he appeared healthy and well before suddenly collapsing. Despite efforts to revive him and being taken to eight hospitals in Ibadan, Oyo State, all reportedly declined to admit him for varying reasons.
