Ubi Franklin, a Nigerian artiste manager, has announced that legal action will be taken against individuals allegedly harassing Davido and his wife, Chioma, on social media.
In a recent post on X, Franklin—who is part of Davido’s team—shared a series of screenshots purportedly from a WhatsApp group called “TSM lovers, which is believed to be associated with fans of Sophia Momodu.
The screenshots allegedly show group members making accusations that Chioma used a love charm to marry Davido and making insensitive remarks about the tragic death of her child.
One message reads: Yes, David was under a love charm from Chioma, and what people don’t realize is that whatever wrong you do eventually backfires. The death of that innocent boy was too suspicious, with so many wrongdoings, but many don’t know what the mother might have been involved in.
The messages also included derogatory remarks about Folasade Adeleke, Davido’s cousin, with some group members using offensive language to describe her.
Franklin condemned those responsible for the messages, labeling them as evil, wicked, and bitter. He criticized them for intentionally creating platforms to harass Chioma.
“You know people are evil, right? The messages I see in this group chat are just shocking. Yet people claim humans aren’t wicked or bitter,” he wrote.
He went on to express disbelief that anyone would spend time and energy forming groups solely to bully a woman who has done nothing to deserve it. Chioma is not anyone’s problem, and she’s not interfering in anyone’s business, he added.
Franklin also warned that those involved would be held accountable by law enforcement, emphasizing that the family is ready to take legal action.
One by one, you will have to explain to law enforcement what Chef Chi has done to you. Keep creating groups to bully her—her husband, myself as her manager, and the entire family are now paying attention. We will follow the law, and you will be served, he wrote.
Davido and Sophia, the mother of his daughter Imade, have been involved in a legal dispute over the child’s custody.
Recently, Sophia’s lawyer filed a suit against the singer over alleged harassment, cyberbullying, and threats to her life.
