After the debates over Real Madrid’s lack of a guard of honour for Barcelona on Sunday, Villarreal honoured their opponents’ double success on Wednesday night at the Camp Nou.
With the Blaugrana champions of both LaLiga and the Copa del Rey, the Yellow Submarine made a point of paying tribute to that achievement pre-game.The Copa trophy was also brought out at half time for Andres Iniesta to pose with, alongside the versions of the same trophy won by Barcelona’s subsidiary sports teams this season.
