Brazil gained a major morale boost with a convincing victory over France in Paris.
‘Les Bleus’ went ahead through a thumping Raphaël Varane header, but the ‘Seleção’ roared back resoundingly and secured the win thanks to efforts from Oscar, Neymar (a left-footed scorcher) and Luiz Gustavo.
It was a muted early performance from Brazil in a fixture that is brimming with history, but the five-time World Cup winners came alive as the match wore on and finished with a flourish. France were simply unable to live with the onslaught from the men in yellow.
The result will be a real shot in the arm for Dunga’s side, whose clash with Chile on Sunday is their last game before the coach announces his squad for the Copa América. Brazil have been placed in Group C for this summer’s tournament, alongside Colombia, Peru and Venezuela.
