Roy Keane Blasts Erling Haaland’s “Lackadaisical” Penalty in FA Cup Clash

Manchester United legend Roy Keane has criticized Erling Haaland for his attitude during Manchester City’s FA Cup quarter-final win over Bournemouth. The Norwegian striker saw his first-half penalty saved by Kepa Arrizabalaga as City trailed 1-0 at halftime. Although Haaland later redeemed himself by scoring from a Nico O’Reilly cross, Keane was unimpressed with his overall approach.

Speaking on ITV, Keane slammed Haaland’s “lackadaisical” penalty and took issue with him smiling after missing another chance. “Haaland missing a penalty, very lackadaisical, then he missed another chance and he’s smiling. Man City strolling around the pitch are really getting on my nerves, not a good sign,” Keane remarked.

Haaland was later substituted after picking up an injury, and City will be hoping he recovers in time for their upcoming fixtures against Leicester on Wednesday and a crucial Manchester derby next weekend. Despite the criticism, Haaland has been prolific this season, scoring 30 goals in 40 appearances across all competitions.
