Aston Villa manager Unai Emery has hailed Marcus Rashford for his growing impact at the club after the forward’s brace helped secure a 3-0 FA Cup quarter-final victory over Preston. Rashford, who also registered an assist, played a key role in Villa’s dominant display, alongside Jacob Ramsey, who also got on the scoresheet.
Rashford recently admitted he is rediscovering his passion for the game following a tough spell at Manchester United. Emery echoed this sentiment, emphasizing the importance of building his confidence.
“Fantastic. He is personally feeling better, comfortable, confident. Scoring goals is adding the confidence he needs, and of course, helping us,” Emery told reporters. “The challenge we have – the club, the team, the squad, and himself – is to help him regain his best form while he contributes his qualities, assists, and goals.”
Villa now shift their focus to a midweek clash against Brighton before facing Nottingham Forest next weekend.
