The United States Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has identified 124 Nigerians among a group of foreign nationals targeted for deportation in its ongoing immigration enforcement efforts.
According to a statement on the DHS website, those listed are categorized as the worst of the worst criminal offenders apprehended by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
While the DHS published the names and photographs of those affected, it did not specify when deportation proceedings would begin or detail the offenses for which they were convicted. The department explained that this action is part of a broader initiative by President Donald Trump’s administration to remove non-citizens with criminal records from the United States.
“The U.S. Department of Homeland Security is highlighting the worst of the worst criminal aliens arrested by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). Under DHS leadership, the hardworking men and women of DHS and ICE are fulfilling President Trump’s promise and carrying out mass deportations, starting with the worst of the worst, including the illegal aliens you see here,” the statement read.

On his first day back, Trump signed multiple executive orders declaring illegal immigration a national emergency, increasing border security, and directing federal agencies to expedite the removal of undocumented migrants.
