Snaresbrook Crown Court in the United Kingdom has confirmed that Nigerian dancer Iweh Pascal Odinaka, popularly known as Poco Lee, was granted bail on September 11, 2026.
The court also stated that the plea and trial preparation hearing for his alleged rape case remains scheduled for September 15, 2026.
James Baker, the court’s administrative team lead, told us on Monday: The Defendant has been granted bail on the 11th September 2026. There is a plea and trial preparation hearing on the 15th September 2026.
This clarification comes after social media reports last Friday claimed that Poco Lee had been released from a UK prison and that the complainant had either withdrawn the case or reached an out-of-court settlement.
Poco Lee faces charges of attempted rape, two counts of rape, and two counts of assault by penetration. Snaresbrook Crown Court confirmed the charges to us in August, following reports of his arrest.
During a recent Instagram Live session with social media personality VeryDarkMan, Poco Lee did not directly confirm his release but maintained his innocence.
He stated that he did not commit the alleged offences and emphasized that music star Burna Boy would not have supported him if he were guilty.
If I did what someone said I did, I would say I am suffering my sins. As I did not do anything, my mind is as pure as anything.
No one would want to attach themselves to something like that. And for Burna Boy and Jago to stand for me, he said. I am a jolly good fellow. Even when I did not do anything.
