Poco Lee’s management has urged the public to refrain from spreading negative or unverified narratives regarding the Nigerian dancer and entertainer’s ongoing legal proceedings in the United Kingdom.
In a statement issued Wednesday by manager Faleye “Dee-Y” Adedoyin, the team expressed gratitude to Nigerian singer Zlatan Ibile and others who have shown steadfast support during this challenging period.
Adedoyin described Zlatan and others as “extremely supportive and helpful,” emphasizing that their involvement has been crucial in navigating the legal process.
The statement read: “We would like to publicly acknowledge that Zlatan, along with others, has been extremely supportive and helpful throughout this matter.
Their involvement, support, and effort have been vital to moving things forward. We deeply value their ongoing support and dedication, and we kindly request that everyone refrain from spreading negative narratives.”
The statement comes in response to recent social media discussions and reports about Poco Lee’s trip to the UK and the circumstances surrounding his current court case.
Social commentator Martins Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan, recently questioned online reports, suggesting that Poco Lee had travelled to the UK for a Zlatan show, not a Davido concert, and called for the public to allow the legal process to take its course.
These developments arise as legal proceedings continue in the UK. Poco Lee was granted bail on September 11, ahead of a scheduled appearance at Snaresbrook Crown Court on September 15.
However, the plea and trial preparation hearing was postponed to February 8, 2027, reportedly due to the unavailability of the charge sheet and Poco Lee’s absence from court. The trial is now set for March 8, 2027.
Poco Lee faces five sexual offence charges in the UK—one count of attempted rape, two counts of rape, and two counts of assault by penetration. He has denied all allegations and has not been convicted of any offence.
His management continues to urge the public and media to exercise caution and avoid treating allegations as evidence of guilt.
