Veteran Nollywood actress Ayo Adesanya has weighed in on the increasing popularity of Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) surgeries in the industry, suggesting that the trend might not last forever.
Speaking at a recent movie premiere, Adesanya pointed out that talent should always come first, as artificial beauty enhancements are fleeting.

In a chat with The Nation Newspaper, the actress stated:
“People take mundane things seriously these days, so artificial looks are selling. But a few years from now, BBL may not work again because change is constant. If you’re truly talented, things like that shouldn’t move you.”
She further emphasized that Nollywood actors should prioritize their craft over looks, stating:
“Is it all movies that have to do with ass?”

Earlier this month, the actress also opened up about surviving a decade-long abusive relationship with actor Goriola Hassan, revealing that the experience led her into alcohol addiction. The pair share a son together.
With Nollywood constantly evolving, will the artificial beauty trend fade away, or is it here to stay?
