Burna Boy, Justin Bieber, Shakira, and Madonna are among the global superstars set to headline the very first FIFA World Cup final halftime show.
FIFA announced on Wednesday that this historic 11-minute performance will take place during the 2026 FIFA World Cup final on July 19 at New York-New Jersey Stadium.
Justin Bieber will co-headline the event alongside Madonna, Shakira, and BTS, the renowned South Korean boy band. Additional acts include Burna Boy, Venezuelan conductor and New York Philharmonic music director Gustavo Dudamel, and the acclaimed PS22 Chorus, who will perform with British rock band Coldplay.
This halftime show marks the first time a FIFA World Cup final will feature a Super Bowl-style entertainment spectacle. Curated by Chris Martin of Coldplay, the show is designed to support the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund, aiming to expand access to education and football opportunities for children worldwide.
FIFA President Gianni Infantino emphasized the importance of education, stating, “There is nothing more important than education. We are proud to have Justin Bieber joining Madonna, Shakira, and BTS to co-headline the FIFA World Cup 2026 Final Halftime Show in support of the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund and our mission to expand access to quality education and football opportunities for children around the world.”
Burna Boy, Gustavo Dudamel, and the PS22 Chorus featuring Coldplay will also play a key role in delivering a powerful message of unity and hope to billions of viewers across the globe.
As the world comes together for the most significant football match in history on Sunday, July 19, 2026, this landmark halftime show will blend music, football, and a message of shared values—leaving a lasting legacy beyond the final whistle.
Earlier in the tournament, Nigerian artists Rema, Burna Boy, and Davido made history by performing at high-profile 2026 FIFA World Cup events, marking a milestone moment for Nigerian music on the world stage.
