Afrobeat superstar Davido has revealed the profound influence his wife, Chioma Adeleke, has on his career, confessing that his business suffers whenever they have disagreements.
During an interview on the popular Breakfast Club show, the music icon shared personal insights into his life, stating that Chioma is the backbone of his success in the music industry. According to him, whenever he fights with her, something goes wrong in his business.
“My wife has always had things over me since we were young,” Davido said. “Every time I fight her, something bad happens to my business. If I fight her, she will say, ‘So you are fighting me, Abi? Your album is coming. Do you want to fight me?’ She has that grace over me.”
Davido also spoke on the bond Chioma shares with his children from previous relationships, particularly his daughter Hailey, who has a strong affection for her. He mentioned how, in the past, he was hesitant about bringing his children around Chioma, but now, the relationship has flourished.

The couple, who have been together for over a decade, met when they were both in school. Davido was 18, and Chioma was 17. Reflecting on their journey from being high school sweethearts to a married couple, Davido expressed how much their relationship has grown over the years.
