Nollywood veteran Ebun Oloyede, widely known as Olaiya Igwe, has addressed false rumors about his health, firmly denying reports that he is ill.
In a recent video, the actor clarified that the footage which sparked concerns was actually taken from a movie set. Olaiya explained that the scene appeared realistic due to his versatility as an actor.
He expressed gratitude to his fans for their genuine concern, saying, “May God not allow us to fall ill. Anyone in this profession should be able to portray any role convincingly. I’ve noticed some comments online suggesting I am unwell, but I was simply following the director’s instructions.
As a good actor, you must deliver your role convincingly so that people recognize your effort.
Some may praise you as a fantastic actor; others may criticize you. You can’t please everyone. To those who are truly concerned, please be assured there is no cause for alarm. I was just acting my part, showcasing my versatility.
Olaiya further revealed that the scene in question was from a film produced by Mr. Latin, in which he played a character recovering in the hospital, cared for by his children. “It was all part of the role,” he emphasized.
