Art imitates life—Columbia Records has shared two new songs off the forthcoming soundtrack to the second season of “Empire,” which is almost as anticipated as the show itself. No Doubt About It” is an uptempo club track, with Jussie Smollett (Jamal Lyon) collaborating with none other than Pitbull. Ne-Yo has a writing credit on the song, as well.
The other, “Ain’t About the Money,” features both Smollett and Yazz (Hakeem Lyon). It’s more of a slow-burn R&B track, though it has serious chart potential as well.
The soundtrack is due this fall, while Season 2 of “Empire” premieres Sept. 23 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on FOX.
