She explained her decision to step away from these platforms was driven by a desire to rediscover herself and prepare for her new role as the wife of a public figure.
“The main reason I wasn’t on social media was that I didn’t know who I was or what I wanted to contribute to others. I felt that using my influence in a half-hearted way didn’t justify spending so much time online,” she said.
Tiwi added that, in hindsight, she feels God was helping her clear her digital footprint in preparation for marrying someone with a strong, positive public image. I had no idea I would marry this superstar with so much visibility and little controversy, she noted.
Her lack of social media presence became even more apparent after marrying Kunle. She recounted a moment when a friend joked that while everyone else received constant notifications, Tiwi received none. When my friend said that, it really struck me, she recalled.
Tiwi clarified she doesn’t have any social media apps on her phone, nor does she run any anonymous accounts. If she ever needs to access platforms like Instagram or TikTok, she uses her husband’s phone—and only for specific purposes.
I’m not a scroller. I only log on when I have something specific to find, and that’s it, she said. “I’m simply not on social media, except for LinkedIn.
Kunle and Tiwi’s relationship became public when the actor introduced her as his wife on New Year’s Day 2024. The couple welcomed their first child in 2025.
