Although France have a lot of doubts hanging over the ahead of the attempted defence of their crown as World Cup champions this winter, Lionel Messi has piled praise onto star forward Kylian Mbappe.
The Frenchman is their shining light in attack and, of course, Messi’s teammate at club level with Paris Saint-Germain.
Lately, Mbappe raised some eyebrows around France by stating that he has “more freedom with the national team, they ask me to do different things than PSG”.
Messi’s admiration of Mbappe
Messi has now had his say on Mbappe’s talent, and he’s a huge admirer of his club teammate.
“Kylian is a different player,” Messi told TUDN. “He’s a beast, he’s very strong one-on-one, he finds space and he’s very quick.
“He can score a lot of goals, he’s a very complete player and he’s been showing that for years.
In the next few years he’ll be among the very best, no doubt about it.”
PSG’s good start to the season has been clouded somewhat due to reports of Mbappe and fellow superstar Neymar not being on the best of terms and even arguing on the pitch on occasion.
