A Nigerian man, Chukwuka Nweke, has been sentenced to life imprisonment for the rape and murder of 61-year-old Italian woman, Iris Setti, in the city of Rovereto, Trento, Italy.
Details of the Crime
According to reports from Italian news agency ANSA, Nweke, who was known for drug abuse, brutally attacked Setti in a public park.
Eyewitnesses stated that he threw her to the ground, hit her face and head repeatedly with his fists and a blunt object before fleeing the scene.
Despite efforts to save her, Setti succumbed to her injuries due to the severity of the attack.
