A Magistrate Court in Sabo, Yaba, Lagos State, on Tuesday, acquitted popular musician Naira Marley and others in connection to the death of Ilerioluwa Aloba, known as Mohbad.
Magistrate Ejiro Kubenje, implementing the legal advice from the Directorate of Public Prosecution (DPP), ruled that Naira Marley, music promoter Sam Larry, Primeboy, and Mohbad’s former manager Opere Babatunde had no case to answer.
However, the DPP stated that the auxiliary nurse who treated Mohbad, Feyisayo Ogedengbe, and one of the singer’s friends, Ayobami Sadiq, will be prosecuted for reckless and negligent acts under Lagos State law.
Their trial will proceed at the Magistrate Court.
