The drama between Nigerian actresses Laide Bakare and Eniola Badmus took a new turn as Opeyemi Aiyeola threw her support behind Laide for calling out Eniola Badmus over her weight loss surgery.
The tension began at the premiere of the movie Owambe Thieves, produced by Eniola Ajao, where Laide Bakare and Eniola Badmus had a public clash. In a viral video, Eniola Badmus was seen walking off the dance floor and saying in Yoruba, “Don’t film us together, we’re not friends.”
Laide, not one to back down, responded by sharing screenshots of private messages from Eniola on her social media. In the heated exchange, Eniola accused Laide of ignoring her calls and disrespecting her, using harsh language like, “What manner of human being does that?” and “You heard me right, fk off.”** Eniola even called Laide “an animal.”
Laide, in her response, fired back, recalling how she had helped Eniola in the past when no one wanted to associate with her because of her appearance. “I gave you your first major role when no one wanted to associate with you because of your ugly looks and obesity,” Laide wrote, accusing Eniola of being ungrateful. She further stated, “All you could pay me back with is to call me an animal?”
To make her point even sharper, Laide vowed that “Almighty God will judge you insha Allah” and promised that Eniola would “collect” for her actions.
