Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola and his wife Cristina Serra are reportedly taking steps to mend their marriage following a brief but emotional reunion over Easter in Barcelona.
According to Catalan outlet El Nacional, the couple who shocked fans with their split announcement in January are now “prepared to give each other another chance.” They reportedly spent three days together in their Barcelona home last weekend, sparking speculation of a possible reconciliation.
Serra, a successful fashion entrepreneur, had moved back to Spain in 2019 with the couple’s youngest child, focusing on her business while Pep continued his managerial journey in England. Tensions reportedly rose after Guardiola extended his Manchester City contract in late 2024, a move that allegedly caught his wife off guard and may have contributed to the rift.
The couple, who began dating in 1994 and married in 2014, share three children. Sources say Guardiola is now committed to flying to Catalunya weekly to prevent long periods away from his family.
This season has been one of Pep’s most challenging both on and off the pitch. Amid personal struggles, City still face a battle to secure Champions League qualification and aim to lift the FA Cup.
While the summer might offer a much-needed pause for the Spaniard, plans for a U.S. tour during the Club World Cup could limit his time with family just as he tries to rebuild it.
