Nigerian actor Stan Nze has emphasized the crucial role forgiveness plays in sustaining romantic relationships and marriages.
At the premiere of the movie ‘Ajosepo,’ Nze spoke candidly about why forgiveness—even in cases of infidelity—can be necessary when rooted in genuine, selfless love.
Love is enough—real love, he explained. “I’m not talking about the butterflies in your tummy. It’s not that kind of love. I mean the love Christ preached, agape love, the one described in Galatians 5:23. It’s not built on fleeting feelings; it’s genuine, selfless, kind, and quick to forgive.
Nze believes that a lack of forgiveness is a significant factor in the breakdown of many marriages. He added, Love is enough if it’s the right kind. Yes, I can forgive cheating, but that doesn’t mean we should continue making the same mistakes just because forgiveness is available. It’s not a license to be foolish. Still, if someone wrongs you, forgiveness should be possible.
Stan Nze and his wife, Blessing Nze, dated for three and a half years before marrying in September 2021. The couple welcomed their first child, a boy, in 2023.
